About Us

Are you new to the church or the area? If so, you are very welcome!

St Thomas Parish Church is situated in the ancient market town of Garstang mentioned in the Domesday Book as Cherestanc and has a population of 6,800 inhabitants.  Situated on the banks of the River Wyre and Lancaster Canal close by and within close proximity to the Forest of Bowland, an area of great natural beauty, its rural surroundings make it a delightful place to live.  Garstang is also recognised as the world's first Fair Trade town.

We are a church made up of people from all walks of life. We love to see new people and are confident that you will feel at home. Our Sunday mornings begin with a warm welcome and an invitation to join in celebrating the good news of Jesus Christ.

We are also active in our local community working alongside other agencies and run our own projects in order to express the love of God in a practical way.
